Manaka Nagai

Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1994 and raised in Los Angeles, California. While living in Tokyo, Nagai graduated from a correspondence high school in the USA and went on to study at Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK). They studied under Prof. Udo A.Engel and graduated in 2019. They then studied under Prof Angela Schanelek and completed their master's degree in 2022. Their graduation film, Night of the Moon, had its European premiere in the Nest Competition section of the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Currently based in Tokyo. _JAP_永井愛華。1994年東京生まれ、カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルス育ち。東京在住中に米国の通信高校を卒業し、ハンブルク美術大学（HFBK）に進学。ウド・エンゲル教授に師事し、2019年に卒業。その後、アンゲラ・シャーネレク教授に師事し、2022年に 修士課程を修了。卒業制作の『月の夜』は、サン・セバスティアン国際映画祭のネ スト・コンペティション部門にてヨーロッパプレミア上映を果たす。現在、東京を拠点に活動中。
