Shunnosuke Iwata

Born 1988 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As a film director, he makes narrative films on the theme of ‘life and work’ in the suburbs. His works include Switchback (2022), a feature film comprising documentary and fiction about the changes in towns and people. His films have won awards and been screened at national and international film festivals. As a filmmaker, he continues to work energetically across genres, including art documentaries and music videos.
