Discipline: We Met on the Internet

「私たちはインターネットで出会った」

エレクトロニック・スーパーハイウェイ(1974)から20年後、ナム・ジュン・パイクはインターネット上で人々が生活する世界を想像し、Internet Dweller(1994)を制作した。それから30年後、MyFi Studioが『Internet Dweller』にインスパイアされた電子楽器『in real time』（2024年）を制作する。このパフォーマンスでは、カスタム・イン・リアルタイム楽器やその他の物理的・仮想的ツールを使って、すべてのオーディオとビジュアルをリアルタイムで制作している。

20 years after coining electronic superhighway (1974), Nam June Paik created Internet Dweller (1994) imagining a world where people live on the internet. 30 years later, The Bass Museum of Art commissioned MyFi Studio to create in real time (2024), an electronic instrument inspired by Internet Dweller, and to perform using this tool. In this performance excerpt, MyFi Studio creates all audio and visuals in real time, using their custom in real time instrument, and other physical and virtual tools.
